Many of my student friends have asked me about a good test prep package for their GRE studies.
I have set out a task for myself to identify the best in the market.

It was not an easy task and I had to spend a lot more time than I planned to.

Here are the findings of my hard work

Going to USA for higher studies had just many components.

One part is learning words (and of course there is Barrons word list that many seem to follow).  There are good free word lists available at several locations on the web.  There are some very good vocabulary books too (Word Power Made Easy etc...).

Then comes the CATs.  PowerPrep (the ETS) has two sample CATs.  These are quite good but I think most Indian students need more preparation.

Then comes the most tricky aspect of all:
Choosing the universities.  There are a lot of resources out there on the web.  Most of them actually are designed for Americans only

Writing SOPs, recos etc. is another are there are sites filled with free articles, tutorials etc.

So, the good news is that if you have the patience to search,
there is a lot of stuff available on the net for FREE.

But the bad news is that
it takes a lot of time to find them and to actually separate the best from the rest.

There are
very few products or sites that cover all these aspects in a great detail.  In my search, I have stumbled across one such site: http://www.neoveda.com/.

I particularly liked their
FREE GRE PowerKit.  Download it and read it.  I am sure that it teaches you several things that you must know to get a good admission.
